“The issue is that I never receive the expected validation email! I made 3 trials with 3 different accounts and email addresses.
This is a stupid situation.
I am not a novice in using technology; I do register with various sites or bulletin boards and I never had such a case. I checked spams in my various inboxes.
No email received from this bulletin board.
Some 400 accounts have been created on this board; but only 10 or so seem to be active ones. It seems that a number of accounts are duplicates; might be that my case is not the sole one. I was wondering if you could post one message on the first thread to ask members to acknowledge the proper or improper validation procedure.
If the majority of the 400 say it is ok then I have a specific issue for myself; otherwise there is a common issue that the webmaster will solve.
Regards,
Chelmi”
“Ion,
I hate to bother you with this, but someone on the old board is not able to post on this board because he didn't get a validation e-mail. His username is Chelmi. I think you would remember him from the old board. He PM'd me twice to see if I knew of anything that he could have done wrong, like a setting or something.
He wants me to post a thread to see if the other members have had the same issue. What do you recommend I should do? I wanted to ask you first, just in case there was a problem with this user.
Sorry to Bother,
BrianPA”--- to be continued ---

Oh, brother! I always get to be specially treated by receiving insult to injury! Exactly when I am busiest with some important gambling-lottery issues (software), I’ must be as well hit by administrative issues! As you can see in my previous thread, I am unable to even start my normal configuration of Internet Explorer (or any Internet browser, for that matter)!
Chelmi is a good friend of mine. Shortly, just one fact that Chelmi and I are good friends. He sent me a least-known book by Marcel Boll, the French Académicien who wrote “The Certainties of Hazard”. That book did help me figure out the Formula of the Everything (the famous-by-now FFG). I was pleased to send Chelmi an autographed copy of my probability book.
I don’t know what’s going on with the registration to this new forum: forums.saliu.com. There should be no problems whatsoever regarding registration. There has been no other problem so far (except for Michou). Perhaps good cognac is in tall order (Michou lives in the country of real cognac).
Seriously now, there are problems I can’t explain. You can read here the severe problems I faced with vBulletin: Security issues, especially during an upgrade. The vBulletin team mostly blame my webhost, GoDaddy, for the severe problems with a vBulletin installation. I did have a serious issue with my webhost, GoDaddy. GoDaddy does outsource at least their technical support. I was shocked to find out that GoDaddy tec h-support freely access a customer username and password! A bunch of them bastards accessed my password and then accessed my FTP domain. Killingly worst, was the fact that the bastards used my password, then changed my password by using their fu*q*k*ng outsourced keyboard, instead of my customer-based U.S. keyboard! I won’t tell you how I succeeded to fix that insanity…
I personally can’t fix Chelmi’s problem, even though I am the administrator. I can’t access any member’s password. I may, as any other registered member, access the list of registered members. The privacy is assured, though. The emails and passwords are strictly hidden.
By the way, there is only one Chelmi. I don’t know what else to say. Perchance register as Michou10…
I told Chelmi aboutt a Michou in my childhood. That “Michou” and I were considered as twin brothers. We looked alike a lot. But there was a little-known problem. That “Michou” had a young uncle who almost destroyed my life. He bred dangerous dogs. He purposely unleashed a young killing dog of his who hurt me quite seriously. I recovered with help from a lot of government agencies (during communism).
My parents did all they could do to stop me from revenge. Yet, my parents applied their own form of revenge. They hurt my would-be twin brother, Michou. Michou would call me every day to join him to play. He would entwine his fingers inside our gates and call my name. My parents and grandparents unleashed our devastating bitch to the gates. The bitch severely hurt Michou! Even more curiously, we all became better friends thereafter….
But I thought seriously of special revenge. That uncle, turning into a skinny cancer-devoured guy, was totally frightened of my presence. He wasn’t that weak when I reminded him of our childhood mishap. I promised him I’d kill him soon. The cancer-driven guy reminded me we were kids back then, in the 1950s …
I left that area for many decades. Most of them people died. The young uncle, his parents, his brother-in-law, the poor brother-suckers who helped him to unleash the young dog to hurt me, … etc. Curiously, only few “boys” from that era survived. One of them is my second cousin and neighbor, Georgel (a.k.a. Giorgio). We met last summer, 2010, and we had really a good time. Georgel’s sister, and my second cousin, was raped in front of my eyes by a group of boys that included Michou’s uncle. I couldn’t do more than report the crime… even if the perpetrators threatened me with my life. My second cousin, Dora, lives a very happy life now. I heard one of her sons wants to become what I have …
The other boy was my classmate and neighbor, Gigel. His father, Nea Nicu, our neighbor, was the one who took the two of us to first-day-in-school, on September 15, 1950. Honestly, in early childhood, Gigel was successful at bringing me down. He was heavier than me. We had fights as boys. We grew up, and my neighbor, Gigel, realized I became a too-good-for-him a fighter. We became very close friends as teenagers — we never fought against each other again. Instead, we became better musicians at whistling… I thought of killing guys of my generation who offended me before — but my real friends stopped me!
I haven’t been attacked in many, many years — physically speaking. Lucky for them! Lucky for me! I strongly convey the message of impenetrable self-defense! We all save our silver bullets …
Okay, Michou Chelmi! I hope you’ll find a way to solve this quirk. I can access your account — why shouldn’t you?
