Question More Organized "Stats" Needed in Lottery Software...

Hey Ion, by any chance can you tell me how to edit the output of pick 4 "stats" to show results like this? essentially each midday/evening entry would have their individual "stats" right next to 'em instead of just the "stats" listed in order!

    7 0 1 6 * Digit: 7 * Hits: 1024
    ------------------------
(not enough space to show actual stats but they'll go here.)
    7 0 1 6 * Digit: 0 * Hits: 1057
    ------------------------
(not enough space to show actual stats but they'll go here.)
    7 0 1 6 * Digit: 1 * Hits: 1032
    ------------------------
(not enough space to show actual stats but they'll go here.)

    7 0 1 6 * Digit: 6 * Hits: 1041
    ------------------------
(not enough space to show actual stats but they'll go here.)

I got NO clue what “stats” you talking about! What piece of my lottery software are you referring to? I never recommend frequency “stats” for thousands of lottery drawings … I always strongly advise shorter parpalucks (ranges of analyses).

    Or –
Was it beer? … wine? … cognac? …

I appreciate your effort in exemplifying … but clarity leaves much to be desired …

NO! Adding a feature like that to my software would waste a lot of my time. Besides, I do not see any value in such a feature. In pick 3, 4 lotteries, ranges of analyses wider than a few hundred drawings show no trends that are valid probabilistically or statistically. Stats for very long ranges that you see in other “lottery software applications” are absolutely meaningless. Not to mention that such software even mix several lotto game-formats in one analysis! It is more than meaningless — it is stupid!

People might want to pay attention to the frequency stats for the new Powerball game format (5/59 AND 1/35). It has only 10 draws at this time of writing. But the trends are much stronger than following analyses of hundreds of lotto drawings …
