    Roulette

Why is there not much discussion about roulette on this forum ?
I think Ion Saliu has some of the best ideas on the internet about the game and is good for me because I play live dealer online only. Others say you can only win with visual ballistics
in the real casinos but who wants to do that when you can play in the comfort of your own living room ! Anyway , my thanks to Ion for his good work and good luck to all on the forum.

By my reckoning, even playing 2 unique numbers has an edge, so you don't have to wait for ages to see the 8+ strings when playing online.

GL Christian (not that you will need it, ha!) and of course many thanks to Parpaluck for his ideas and software.

Probably because we . . . exhausted the topic! We talked a lot in my previous roulette forum:

There was a roulette expert who wrote a lot on roulette: Crocodil Apache. I can see one of the threads he started reached over 12000 views!

I still have a serious problem with online gambling where the house generates the outcome (like in roulette or blackjack). The software can do whatever the casino wants to do (to win big money). The online casinos, however, can’t generate horseracing results or sport scores. Provided that such casinos are honest enough and pay the horse/sports bettors who win!

    “ . . . you can play in the comfort of your own living room . . . “
You can post a link to that casino. If I consider it legitimate, I’ll leave the link on. If it’s only a publicity stunt, I’ll erase the link.

On the other hand, I have serious problems with brick-and-mortar casinos as well. They are very desperate to make money. Most of them are in bankruptcy. They apply all kinds of pretexts to “rob” the gamblers. If a player wins at blackjack, they don’t cash his chips on the grounds of card-counting! If a gambler shows big money and loses big, the casinos force him out on the motive of card counting or cheating (like writing roulette numbers on paper!)

Playing online would be ideal. The “casinos” can’t see what you are doing! Unfortunately, the other side is a whole lot worse: You CAN’T see what the software does!!!

    Best of luck!

Thanks for the link , appreciate it.
I only play LIVE DEALER ROULETTE online , not against software which is rigged and out to destroy you.
Advantage of playing from living room is you have plenty time to record all you need on your trusted notepad and pen , and can place bets when you want and sit out when you want. I am not here to promote any online casino. As long as they process your withdrawals they are fine by me !

    GOOD LUCK

I forgot about that thing that appears in the media:

Others say you can only win with visual ballistics
I don’t think so. In fact, I consider it another publicity stunt by the casinos, very much like counting cards at blackjack. Let’s give people the impression that they can win big in the casino! Then, the casinos have the legal pretext not to cash the chips of the winners, or kick out the gamblers who have lost serious money. (If one loses serious money and still shows money left in the bankroll, there is the chance of recovery — it is mathematical. I call it the reversed gambler’s fallacy.)

There is no instrument on Earth to measure speed perfectly. Let’s suppose there is such an instrument. We could program the roulette wheel for precise speeds and measure such speeds. The results would not fall into any pattern. The numbers will be totally random, as far as the influence of the wheel speed is concerned.

Yes, I analyzed bias between the two halves of the roulette wheel:

    Roulette System That Won Millions.

The bias was not related to the wheel speed at all. I saw a female dealer, followed by a male dealer in a casino. The speed was definitely higher when the male dealer was at the . . . wheel! The half-wheel bias was the same and it was caused by wear-and-tear.

As I wrote on my Web page, bias is inherent to randomness. You can notice biases even in computer generated roulette numbers. The mechanical roulette can be even more biased because of wear. But the speed is irrelevant for all intents and purposes.

I agree. Not only a publicity stunt by the casinos but by the people trying to sell roulette computers , like the Australian pirate !
If you notice on the roulette forums they all squabble as to which is best , yet they can't guarantee consistant winnings if you buy their device.
How can a roulette computer be consistant when the slightest deflection or hit on a diamond affects the result !
    Long live PROBABILITY !
